I spent most of my adult life struggling to get out of bed in the morning. Add to that a demanding job in Corporate America with the responsibilities of being a mother, and I almost always felt drained. I did all I could to feel energized for work and to be present for my family. Caffeine became a necessity most days, losing weight was nearly impossible, I was stressed and not sleeping well. My best self was not showing up to work, and I surely didn’t have the energy to be a great friend, mom, or wife. I felt stuck!
After years of struggling, I took my first step and added some movement into my routine. While this helped a little, I had this nagging feeling I needed to do more. Fast forward to 2020 - it was time to take control of my health and wellness.
In August of 2020, I finally took the leap and invested in my well-being by evaluating my lifestyle. This small step turned out to be life changing. After just a few weeks, my transformation was underway. Not only did I have more energy than ever before, but I started waking up before my alarm clock! An added bonus was my skin had never looked better! That was enough for me; I was hooked.
When I discussed my lifestyle modifications with my primary care physician, she introduced me to the concept of Health Coaching. After a lot of soul searching, I knew she was onto something; I knew I needed to help others make an investment in their wellness too.
Honestly, there are times this rewarding experience has been difficult; however, turning around isn’t an option for me. I don’t know if there is a destination, but I am not interested in resting. I am still heading down the road less traveled and invite you to join me on the journey to a healthier life.
